Election for the nation Once again this season, Braincells will be electing a new Mayor for nuspawn! From december 1st to 15th, candidates will be campaining for their office, for the elections that will be taking place from december 15 to 17 Want to learn more? Check out this post on DC! A blossoming district More and more shops keep moving into the bustling commercial district; Check out Dakota's "Thumble Over", straight out of the cobblemon mines; or that mysterious bricky looking shop east of South street; or BrassCo's Isabelle that's just landed; it doesn't have stock just yet, but will be a new and improved return to the popular bargain tents from past seasons! Let's not forget our third minigame to join the fray; try Gekko's Potato Run today! Other Nuspawn news Besides lot builds, a grand laboratory has been built atop the back of the Grand Crater National Park, opposite of it's touristic installation. With officials restricting access to it's site, we cant help but wonder what goes on in there... Additionally, a strange Carl-like character has been spotted roaming the streets of Nuspawn; sources say, they might be an escaped clone from the Automation Horizon A challenge arises! Yet another happenstance for Nuspawn; Lucy's hosting a contest for the furnishing of the vast lands she's acquired North-West of Nuspawn Central! Base Highlight The base that took me most by surprise this week is Kaan's massive tree, reaching to the skies, overseeing the site of a future zoo, it seems! SERVER DOWN SERVER DOWN! Its with pain in our hearts that we had to endure the cruel ordeal of the server hard crashing. It was caused by corrupted mod file, which required intervention from the Dejojo himself; terrible timing, as he is the middle of moving. Our latest newcomers, Frozenway & hoboe, have been stuck on the sidelines, having to witness the server only through the content we've created about it. As a sign of respect, the next page will be left blank. We are so back After five long days, the server is finally back! While many were able to work on projects in singleplayer, some, like Ducky, feel personally attacked by the downtime, feeling they've missed out on production. But don't you worry, there's still plenty of playtime left! To celebrate the server's return, free fireworks are available in the underground hub! Come gab a handful! Nuspawn keeps growing A new minigame has popped up! It doesn't yet have a name, but its a fun adventure by Kaan! A dynamic hole-in-the-wall quick play type of game! A mushroom has also sprouted, home to Potions and Lotions, which sells neither potions nor lotions, but rater Cobblemon boost items such as vitamins and protein! (by G1nja) Crafting Table Attack A mysterious malefactor has sprinkled many a crafting tables all across Nuspawn. A few people reported sighting, but none could identify the mischievous individual. A few of the dangerous or unsuitable placements have been removed, while what remains is under the jurisdiction of landowners. A bit shorter this week, so that's it for today! Nuspawn evergrowing This week, a few more things have cropped up; such as a free food stall undergrounds, more free materials along the underpass, and many shop locations have opened! And speaking of shops, Phase 2 is now in full swing! New sectors have opened up, and zones CC, D and F are now on sale! Learn more here Attention, attractions! A brand new minigame has established itself in Nuspawn, made by Alecs! Try to beat the registered highscores! Additionally, the Grand Crater have started to be worked on; and a mysterious meteorite has been discovered at its bottom! Learn more here Community Initiatives oPlasma has designed a train mission completion station! With straight forward instructions and train, go complete your missions at his base, accessible through the cobblestone tunnel in the nether! Lucy and Tito have banded together to bring us a nether hub; a much needed improvement to the mess of winding paths currently in place! Learn more here Ford has made available the subway station schematic! Grab yours today here Pokenew! Our talented trainers are going across the lands challenging whoever's up to it. Beware however, they're quite strong! If you're more of a collector than a fighter, you should pass by the pokemart by Lost, which'll fulfill all your pokéball needs! More Bases Highlights! More and more bases are sprouting and growing! [4] nuspawn grows!

Little Updates! Lucy is becoming the sylveon queen, with an army of 16 of them. She also holds so many more eevees; and still buying more. Appolo's museum is now updated! It's still a quick visit, with two floors that barely fit the server's very first rocket and spacesuit, but it also features every edition of kx news; no doubt this one included! Our resident Duck(Tito) has successfully collected every cat type, including the esoteric Copy Cat Cat! Nuspawn Services are expanding!! On top of the basic amenities, spawn now has free resources along the walls of the underpass, and a utility underground: with a link to the nether, a create workshop by Dave, and a subway station by Ford! There aren't any subway lines right now, but you can almost jump down to it safely; and there's a bubblevator to get back up! Shops, Shops, Shops! The shopping district has been expending greatly! Home to a tavern, a small arena, a handful of shops and a laboratory, it's already getting quite interesting! With over half of the phase 1's lots sold, the infrastructure for phase two is under construction! If you'd like a lot of your own, find more information here! Nuspawn is in full swing! This week, knife and Link banded together to build this season's shopping district centerpiece; a beautiful teal Space Elevator, latched over the central intersection of the city! Special thanks to Terra, who's donated the 1400 tuff we were missing! Along its side are little utility alcoves, including a pokepoint (N) , a crafting nook (E) and a bank terminal (W) And soon, access to the underground subway network! Additionally, a wide array of commercial lots will soon be available to purchase. Keep your eyes peeled, it'll be announced on discord as soon as it's ready! Pokenews With cobblemon back on the menu, many have been hard at work! Lost hunted down the final berry she was missing, and with her diligent berry mutation setup, quickly had a hold of the 69 available berries. Nice! Additionally, she's just over 75% done with her pokedex, having caught 476 unique pokémons! G1nja, self proclaimed Pokémon Champion, has been wiping out anyone who dares challenge her; and has even started to offer a reward for anyone who'd manage to defeat her! Lucy, for her part, has successfully completed her full eeveelution collection! But now, she's planning to make it all shinies... More News Just as a heads up, the rewards posters for the Pirate's capture are not legally binding; dont go around killing those crew members, as noone's going to pay up! You probably know by now that missions reset every week on monday. oPlasma took it as a challenge, and managed to complete every last mission assigned to him in just a few hours - with the help of a few lucky rerolls Figura is taking the server by storm! With Titanor endlessly upgrading his model with custom arrows and head, and L3mmy offering to help out, frankly, everyone, more and more people are getting swept up! Base check Now two weeks in, bases all around the server have been developing exponentially! To only name a few, the following stood out to me as I toured the lands. Ducky has decided to create a reverse scale model, starting with building a floor of chunk-large planks. Death, along with Jemma, have risen some sort of evil looking monument atop a scorched island. The Grouwup has a collection of eclectic constructions scattered over the lands, including a giant flower and a mysterious pyramid. Terra, lead of the A.B.C.U., honores his namesake with a simple but elegant bridge spanning across the ocean. As for the Brain Pirates, they've started converting their mycelium island to luscious green grass. There is certainly more to come, as many more have started to lay foundations for what looks to be impressive projects. We cannot wait to see how this develops! That's it for this week! Server news After record low TPS, Slingki managed to dig into the back end and get our TPS to soar! With this new fluidity, Cobblemons were able to make a return, populating our world with their cubic cuteness. Safety & Security We've been encountering various issues throughout the modpack; most of them caused by tfmg. Here are some guidelines to keep the server up & lag free Do not put TFMG blocks on contraptions Do not use ad astra pipes, only create ones Do not use drills to dig out for resources. For more info, check out the announcement Space Race Last week was a furious race between BrassCo and the Brain Pirates, Braincell's most tryhard teams, to reach space. Brassco completed the first three rocket tiers, and reached the Moon, Mars and Mercury first. But after the tragic death of link on Mercury, the Pirates were able to catch up, and were first to reach Venus and Glacio, having crafted the tier 4 rocket first. But besides these two titans of industry, one brave denizen has been hard at work following their steps into spacedom! Omnipotentdebate, all on their lonesome, has managed to grind out the arduous rocket process, and reached Glacio all on their own! Nuspawn City Just a week in, and we're planning for the shopping district! knifex has once more taken the initiative to outline the new settlement, and with the help of Tay, the land is starting to take shape! Head to the Nuspawn thread to see how you can help out! Public Transit King, technically still crowned minister of transportation, has once again taken upon himself the responsibility of transit! L3mmy and Ford seem to be involved in the endeavor as well. With Jemma developing n online platform to help plan it out and Plasma drawing out a map, looks like we'll be well covered! Other Large Projects Appolo (formely known as Fluffymuscle) will be our museum curator this season! They're looking for some help, see how you can participate here! We're Here! After a long harrowing wait, we finally made it! Season 5 is live! Staring with a bang with well over 30 players and well below 10 TPS, the server's just doing it's best! We're sorry for the lag and loading times, but thats an inevitable season start issue. Thanks for hanging on! Our Superstars This modpack has been awsomely customized just for you! A grand collab from Dejojo, Deaudie, Fordalels, Lost, Lucy, Knife and SlingKi! Each contributed their heart n soul to this project and really hope you enjoy it! Round up! All around the server, cliques are forming, neighbors are getting acquainted, alliances are being forged. Start thinking about team, town, or nation name! Census will be coming in a week or two :) Speedrun Reputation The varied eyes and harder dragon fight has not deterred our usual speedrunners! The Brain Pirates hurried to gather all the eyes, updating me through; They had 66% of the needed eyes only 4 and a half hours in, but the remaining ones tool a bit longer to get. But they didn't just gather eyes; they prepared with great armor, some coming in with full netherite, and a warship, taking the end by storm with their BrassCo allies only 52 hours in! First Events True to her reputation, Lucy was the first to perish, succumbing to fall damage mere instants after logging in. And by time of publishing, she's managed to rack up over 100 deaths KingOfDranovis completed the first mission! Get some numismatic currency of your own by typing /mission in chat! Wither, ever the weasel, found the First Carl! It's fine tough, they\'re findable in any igloo. Turners was the first to the Nether! Didn't spend much time there tho; entering when lag was so bad it wouldn't even load Dakota was the first to craft a pokéball and use it, before even pokémons were disables to improve server performance. Antton snatched the first bonk! Soon followed by many others, reinvigorating our beloved Bonk in chat tradition. And most impressive of all, despite the broken steel production, BrassCo has manage to scrounge up enough material to get to the moon!! Linkbrad was the first to step out onto this distant world, breaking new grounds! Closing note And that's just a start for the fifth season of braincells!
